This is my 1970 Datsun roadster. I painted it black. Its kinda covered in a cocoon of dust right now, but I will be working on it soon.... Its about to undergo an engine swap. I'm still looking for the right power plant to drop in there. I sold the 1600 that was in it, so there's no turning back now. I have the body off now. I'll have more updates soon.

I've got the body off the frame now. I'm just trying to schedule a time when I can get a few guys over here so we can move it out of the way. I'm planning on sanding down the frame and painting it. I'm also going to remove the center cross section and replace it with something less obstructive so I can get a different transmission in the car.

We got the body moved. The frame looks pretty good. shouldn't take to much work to get it cleaned and painted. It's getting painted gunmetal gray. I also have plans to cut out the big X in the middle and replace it with 2 in round tube. I need to make room for the new trans.

May 26th

Scott and I worked on it a little today. We took out the rear end and the front suspension. We started cutting out the cross member in the middle to make room for the new motor and tranny. We have to flip it over to make the final cuts. we also started grinding away some of the rust and getting it cleaned up. Check out the pic with the body resting on the 18's! Looks pretty nice! hopefully I can make them fit.

Well I haven't done much with the frame lately however, I did find a motor! its a KA24DE of of a 97 240SX. about 155hp no turbo piping to deal with. should be an easier install. I also picked up a set of 16x7 in blitz style rims. I think it will be a little easier to get them to fit. So the 18's are up for sale. see pics of them in the for sale section

September 10th

We did some hacking last night. I making a couple changes to the frame to make room for the engine and trans. I'm also doing a few things to lighten it and make it a little cleaner looking. The front cross  member had a lot of deep rust on it so we cut that off. I'll weld on another one soon. We also cut off the brackets for the steering box and idler, I don't really need them cause I'm switching to rack in pinion. we also cut of the old motor mounts to make room for new ones. Scary looking aint it!

January 20th

I ordered up a set of wheel adapters that change the bolt pattern from 4x4.113 to 4x4.100. I put the front end back together to do a test fit with the 18's and they fit. I took a couple measurements and it looks like the will fit under the wheel well too. so looks like I'll be using them instead of the 16's here are some pics.
